Author: Jen Ting

Many children have pets at home, but no one would expect a little girl to adopt a POTATO as a pet! In the story, Veronica didn’t expect a potato would talk, but Veronica and the potato became good friends. She named the potato as Potaton. They got along happily every day, and when Potaton encountered difficulties, Veronica always stood up by his side. Her unconditional support touched him, and Potaton used his courage and confidence to save Veronica when she was in trouble. Read the story to find out what exactly happened!
Written by a mother of two children who worked on psychology research, she wrote this story to encourage children to be courageous and confident when facing challenges in life. She also wants to teach children the importance of getting along with others and solving problems together by portraying an unconditional supportive friendship between Veronica and Potaton. The engaging storyline and the adorable characters are specially designed for young children. The author searched for many illustrators, and Kseniia’s drawings caught her eye. She is an experienced Russian illustrator and her drawings are beautifully neat and harmonious that speak the story very well. The author hopes this would provide an opportunity for parents, grandparents, and teachers to have a fruitful conversation about courage and confidence.
